There's no reining in Olivia Dean and her pal Sam Fender. Their duet "Rein Me In" has topped the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart for an amazing 20th week. Last week, when the song notched its 19th week on top they set the record for the longest-running #1 single of all time on that chart. Elsewhere, Ariana Grande's new album petal debuts at #1 on the U.K. album chart, and two songs from it are in the top 10: "hate that i made you love me" and the title track.

In the early 2000s, blue eyeshadow was all the rage. That's why Michelle Branch has teamed up with MOB Beauty to create a shade of eyeshadow called "Spirit Room Blue," to mark the 25th anniversary of her 2001 debut, The Spirit Room, and its blue cover. "Some colors hold memories. ’Spirit Room Blue’ reminds me of late nights, first records, endless skies, and the fans who’ve carried these songs with me for 25 years. Now it’s their turn to wear the story,” Michelle says. "I especially like the idea of making Spirit Room Blue the signature fan look for the anniversary tour."

William Orbit, the British record producer best known for his work on Madonna's Ray of Light and Music albums, plus her song "Beautiful Stranger," has died, according to a note on his official website. According to the website, Orbit, born William Mark Wainwright, died July 23 at age 69. He also did production for artists ranging from Pink, Prince, Blur and U2 to Ricky Martin, Britney Spears and Sarah McLachlan.

Fans got excited when they heard that Ariana Grande was reuniting with Ryan Murphy for a small role in the upcoming season 13 of American Horror Story, but then it was announced that she'd dropped out due to her tour.  Now Murphy, who first worked with Grande in Scream Queens, says the singer's exit from the show was "really, truly a scheduling conflict" and not part of any desire on her part to withdraw from the public eye.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy says, "I had an idea and I came to her and she, very immediately, said, 'I’m not sure because I think I’m going on tour.' I don’t think the tour had been announced, and she had obviously just finished the Wicked movie."

"So when it came time to do that episode, I called her up and she was like, 'I don’t know how I’m going to juggle the tour with this.' And I said, 'OK, if you can’t, we can push to another season.' She said, 'Great.'”

He continued, "You have to be respectful. Who is busier than Ariana Grande? No one. She had told me at the time, 'I have this album that’s dropping.' It was really, truly a scheduling conflict. I said, 'OK, we’ll kick that can down the road.'"

"I love her, and I support her. It was a very big swing, but I might bring that back for another season, per Ariana’s availability. I think the world of her," he concluded.

And speaking of singers in TV shows, Murphy also tells the publication that he's "considering [bringing back] Glee." He explains, "For many, many people now in their 20s, they grew up on that show and it meant something to them. The music meant something. So, let’s kick it around and see what we get."

KATSEYE used to have six members, but in February Manon Bannerman went on a hiatus that doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. And now the group is down to a quartet, as Sophia Laforteza is also stepping back from the Grammy-nominated group.

A message on the group's Weverse page states that Sophia is "temporarily unable to participate in upcoming promotional activities" in order to prioritize her "mental health and wellness." It goes on to say, "Sophia has been receiving the utmost support, and following thorough consultations with medical professionals, it has been advised that she take dedicated time for extended rest and ongoing care to ensure a full recovery."

"While Sophia herself is eager to perform alongside her members, the health, safety, and long-term well-being of our artists will always remain our highest priority," the message continues. "We will continue to closely monitor her progress and support her journey. We plan to reassess her condition in September and will share a further update with fans at that time."

On her own Instagram Story, Sophia writes, "Making this decision wasn't easy, but I'm learning that health has to come first. I'm realizing that if I don't take care of my mind and body now, I won't be able to keep doing what I love the most for so long."

She adds, "I promise I'm going to work as hard as I can to get through this, heal properly, and come back stronger." 

Sophia's exit comes at a key time for the group: Their third EP, WILD, is coming out Aug. 14; they just dropped the new single "Animal"; and their world tour is set to begin Sept. 1.

Chappell Roan hasn't been on a concert stage lately, but that will change in October when she plays two special charity shows at The Shrine in Los Angeles.

The Super Graphic Spectacular — a twist on the title of her song "Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl" — the Oct. 21 and 22 shows will raise money for Chappell's nonprofit, The Midwest Princess Project. The shows will mark one full year of the project, while raising funds for programs that support trans youth and the LGBTQ+ community.

To date, the organization has raised over $800,000 through donations and proceeds from Chappell's Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things pop-up shows.

The Super Graphic Spectacular will give fans the opportunity to volunteer in support of trans youth and LGBTQ+ community organizations. There will also be "live performances, special guest appearances, drag artistry, comedy, community engagement opportunities" and "a special closing performance" from Chappell and "collaborators."

After weeks of teases on social media, Alex Warren has released his new single "Rescuer" which, like many of his songs, is a tribute to his wife, Kouvr Annon Warren.

"When I was at my absolute lowest, my now-wife Kouvr saved me," he says in a statement. "Nothing I have or have done is possible without her. This song is written to her as a way of expressing that.”

Kouvr co-stars with Alex in the video for "Rescuer," which finds him trying to sneak into a "Baroque Ball" where everyone is dressed in 17th century costumes. A man tries to throw him out, but Kouvr, dressed like a princess, calls the guy off. The two spend the night being romantic — after she gives him the appropriate clothing — and they plan to meet outside later. But when Alex returns to his car, the man kicks his butt, throws him in the bushes and steals his car.

But still, Kouvr finds a beaten and bruised Alex outside and they kiss. 

"Where do you think he put my car?" asks Alex. "Honestly, I don't know, but it was a piece of junk anyways," responds Kouvr. "He punched me. Twice," whines Alex. "Yeah, that sucks," she replies. "He threw me in a bush. Who throws people in bushes?" "Apparently him," says Kouvr as the clip ends.

"Rescuer" is from Alex's new album. WILDCHILD, due Aug. 28.

It's the moment that dance music fans have been waiting for: Madonna and Kylie Minogue have teamed up for a record. "Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix)" puts the two divas together on a new version of a song from Madonna's current album, Confessions II. The two debuted the song live at World Pride Amsterdam on Aug. 1. The original version has already hit #1 on dance radio.

Audrey Nuna, the singing voice of HUNTR/X's Mira in KPop Demon Hunters, has dropped a solo single called "superHuman." Audrey says in a statement, "I wrote this song in a time in my life where a lot was changing very quickly, and I felt more perceived by the world than I ever had before." She adds, "I wanted to quietly remind myself and others to stay human, stay open, to flow like water through all of the changes & that being more human will always be a superpower if we allow it.”

"Boston" singer Stella Lefty has released "Lean In, Kiss Me," a new track from her upcoming debut, Long Way Home, due Aug. 21.

Carly Rae Jepsen has released another new track from her upcoming album, Day and Night: "Don't Leave Me on the Dance Floor." She says it was inspired by seeing the ABBA hologram show Voyage in London and wanting to write "a perfect pop melody." The album's due Sept. 18.

"If the World Was Ending" singer JP Saxe has teamed up with brother and sister-fronted pop group Lawrence for "Feel Like That," a song from Lawrence's upcoming EP, Office Party. JP says in a statement, "It’s about how terrifying it is to feel like you don’t have the capacity to be overwhelmed by love anymore. very creepy stuff. I’m so happy Lawrence and I get to be scared together."

If you've been to see Ed Sheeran's LOOP stadium tour this summer, you may have caught a set from Aaron Rowe, one of his opening acts. But if they ever made a movie about how Aaron ended up with that gig, you wouldn't believe it.

Dublin native Aaron spent years playing cover songs in pubs. One night Lewis Capaldi just happened to stop into one of those pub with friends. A few weeks later, Aaron was playing an open mic night in Nashville, Tennessee, when Lewis walked in again. Lewis' best friend eventually became Aaron's manager, and next thing you know, Aaron was tapped to open Lewis' U.K. and Ireland tour. Lewis also told his pal Ed Sheeran about Aaron.

"The day Ed heard my music we had a meeting, and he's been an unbelievable supporter of me since then," Aaron tells ABC Audio about Ed. "He's been like a mentor, brother, friend. ... I can't thank him enough, honestly."

According to Aaron, Ed has "done everything he's ever wanted to, in terms of concerts and selling records." Now, Aaron says, "I think that's his goal in life, is to just pay it forward." 

Aaron, who released the EP Exodus last year, says he's learned one major lesson from touring with Lewis and then Ed. "People think that you go on tour, and it's all just drinking and it's all partying the whole time," he says. "But being a singer isn't very rock 'n' roll. You have to stay healthy, you have to be ready for the next show. So ... what I've taken from those two guys is just their absolute professionalism."

Aaron has also been able to apply his own life lessons to playing for 60,000 people at Ed's stadium gigs.

"The reality of doing these support shows is that you're just playing to people when they're just coming in, so what I would have learned from doing all those pubs was ... you have to let the audience come to you," he says. "You can't go out there all guns blazing ... you have to, you know, show a little respect."

But making the transition from pubs to stadiums has been a strain on his personal life. Aaron recently released a new single, "Hollywood Sign," which explores that very topic.

"It's really just kind of dealing with the duality of ... getting all these amazing opportunities to be able to chase my dreams," he says. "But I've got a girlfriend at home, family who I'm missing out on. There's been things happening. I have an uncle who died a couple of months ago and I wasn't really around a lot for all of that when it was going on. So it's just dealing with the nature of everything that's going on right now." 

Aaron resumes opening for Ed Sept. 19 in Philadelphia.

Ariana Grande wrapped up the first leg of her Eternal Sunshine tour Thursday night in Chicago, and as she heads to London for a run of shows there, she gave thanks to her fans for their support.

"i love you … i cannot believe that this concludes the north american leg of the eternal sunshine tour," she wrote on Instagram. "i am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude. thank you endlessly for the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling few months … i will cherish every moment of this time with you all & these memories forever."

"thank you, chicago … london, i cannot wait to see you soon. i love you all more than ever," she added.

Ari is set to do 10 shows at London's O2 Arena starting Aug. 15. After the shows wrap up Sept. 1, she will take  a step back from the public eye, as her representatives announced several days ago.  But at her Aug. 3 concert, Ari assured her fans that her decision had nothing to do with any negative feelings towards the tour. "This can be and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life," she told the crowd at her show.

In other Ariana news, a superfan undergoing cancer treatment had her dreams come true when Ari's team invited her and her husband to attend two of her concerts.

As reported by ABC's Good Morning America, Jess Potter had purchased tickets to the show, but had to cancel after a bad reaction to her chemo. Her husband Daryl tried to cheer her up by buying a ponytail and a microphone and putting on an Ariana concert in their living room. A TikTok of his performance went viral, leading to the invitation, and even a note from Ari herself.

Sienna Spiro wants animals to be more than just Visitors in your home.

She's teamed up with PETA UK for a campaign urging people to adopt animals from shelters rather than buying them. "Animals have always been very, very important to me. ... My dogs have always been my best friends,” Sienna says in the campaign video, in which she plays with adorable dogs and cats at an animal shelter in North London.

"One thing I hope people take away from this is definitely to adopt and not shop ... and maybe not just go for a kitten or a puppy," she adds. "Maybe go for one that’s had an amazing history. There’s thousands and thousands of amazing animals that really need homes.”

In the video, she sports her '60s retro look of a minidress and wingtip eyeliner. But when she's "off duty," she tells Variety, she doesn't walk around with a bouffant and boots — and nobody recognizes her.

"I tried the hair for the first time, and it made me feel like such an elevated version of myself," she adds. "Sometimes having hair that’s different from my everyday hair, or when I put my boots on, allows me to kind of step into something and have a level of confidence and separation from the way I felt writing [my] songs. I’d never wear heels in everyday life.”

Tate McRae is having a moment: After headlining Lollapalooza and Canada's Osheaga festival in a single weekend, and going viral for dipping herself in gold paint at the end of her performances, she's been honored with a special award.

At Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event on Wednesday, Tate was given the Triple Threat Award, honoring her achievements as a singer, songwriter and performer. Accepting her award, Tate said, "I've realized that I'm incapable of doing anything casually in my life." 

She then described how ballet lessons led her to a professional dance career, while an interest in poetry led her to become a songwriter, which then led her to her current status as a global pop star.

"So, I guess I have a slight problem with doing the most at all times," she continued, laughing. "It's not like I was soaking in gold paint two days ago or anything."

"But honestly, I think that obsession has always been the thing that drives me," she continued. "When I love something, I really love it. I wanna know everything about it. I wanna get better at it. And I pretty much let it consume my entire life." 

"Dance was my first love, writing became the way I understood myself, and music somehow gave me a place where I could put it all together. The fact that I get to do all three for my actual job is a dream come true, so thank you."

Tate was given her award by Madison Beer at the event, which also featured Sombr receiving the Songwriter of the Year award from Fleetwood Mac guitar legend Lindsey Buckingham. Plus, Sienna Spiro performed her song "Pure" live.

It was truly a millennial throwback moment at Hilary Duff's concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

As captured on social media, Hilary took the stage wearing a Good Charlotte T-shirt and then brought out the band, led by twin brothers Joel Madden and Benji Madden, to perform the Good Charlotte hit "The Anthem." But it wasn't just the music that was a throwback — Hilary and Joel dated from 2004 to 2006.

Hilary is currently married to musician Matthew Koma, while Joel is married to Nicole Richie and Benji is married to Cameron Diaz. All the families are close, though. Matthew, Hilary, Benji, Joel and Nicole all posted a photo of themselves backstage at MSG to their Instagram Stories. It was captioned "FAMILY NIGHT."

Michelle Branch is back on the Billboard charts with her new version of "The Game of Love," the Grammy-winning hit that she originally released with Carlos Santana back in 2002. The new version is a duet with Gregg Alexander of New Radicals, who wrote the song. But Michelle said she originally wanted the new version to feature a current female star.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Michelle said, "Originally, Gregg and I were wanting Olivia Rodrigo to sing [the remake of ] 'Game of Love,' and we were like, 'Let's ask her, and maybe we'll produce it or something.' Like, we didn't really know what we were gonna do."

But after she and Gregg went into the studio and sang the song together, they realized how good they sounded. Michelle says, "We were like, 'Wait a minute. Actually, we should do this. This is crazy.'"

"The Game of Love" remake is the first single from Michelle's upcoming EP, Everywhere and Back Again, which drops Nov. 6 and features reimagined versions of her hits. She's kicking off a sold-out tour Sept. 27 in Seattle.

Twenty-five years into her career, the "Everywhere" singer tells ET, "To still have fans showing up, singing the words, caring about not only the old music but the new stuff and still along for the ride is, like, the biggest gift. I think it's really because we all grew up together."

Sombr was chosen by one of his celebrity fans -- Taylor Swift -- to perform her songs as she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at a June ceremony in New York City.  Now, he tells Variety that he spent the performance desperately trying to keep himself from looking at Taylor as he sang.

"If I looked at her for three seconds during the performance, my mind would have completely blanked because that’s Taylor Swift,” he says of his performance of her songs "Cardigan" and "Dear John." “That’s a goddess. I remember looking at her for a split second while performing and almost losing it, but then I looked away.”

Taylor was pleased with the performance, declaring, "Sombr is the future."

As for how Sombr got the gig, when he found out that Taylor had praised him in an interview, he sent a thank-you note; she sent him back a letter and a necklace, and now they're pals. "I freaked out and fangirled. And somehow I haven’t f***** it up,” he says of their friendship. 

So what's their relationship like now? "I don’t know if I want to get too into it. I don’t want to talk about her without her permission,” he tells Variety. But he definitely approves of Taylor's husband.

"I f****** love Travis Kelce,” he says. “That guy is the nicest guy ever.”  

Sombr will start a run of European festival shows on Aug. 11, and then return to North America in September for more dates.

As the world waits for a new Rihanna album, her partner, A$AP Rocky, admits that he's partially to blame for keeping her away from music -- but reveals that she is, in fact, working on something.

Appearing on BET's The Jason Lee Show, Rocky acknowledged the fact that over the last few years, Rihanna has been too busy having children with him to make music. The couple have three kids: Sons RZA and Riot and daughter Rocki.

He also added, "And traveling. She's traveling with me."

"But yo, she in the studio right now," he continued. "Yeah, I said it." Then, addressing Rihanna, he said, "Sorry babe." He added, to Lee, "She cooking, bro. No funny s***. Damn, I'mma get in trouble for this!"

But when Lee suggested that Rihanna team up with Rocky to make a double album "of you both together on every song," Rocky shook his head.

"Nope. I would hate Rocky and Rihanna if they both did that. That's trash!" he said, referring to himself and Rih in the third person. "Nobody want to hear us together, bro! I make subversive weird a** indie rap. Like, I got a cult following, bro."

He went on to insist, "The music that I make is for a niche demographic of people who actually get this s*** ... I make music for pretty boys. I make music for people that is misunderstood."

"But your girl is a universal icon," Lee argued. "She has songs with Paul McCartney and I mean, y'all can figure it out!" 

"Bro, no!" Rocky responded.

With or without Rocky, if Rihanna does ever release another album, it'll be the follow up to Anti-, which came out in 2016.

The singer celebrated his girlfriend Bruna Marquezine’s birthday with a loving post.

“Feliz aniversário my baby,” he wrote in a message to the Brazilian model/actress. “You are a light and a mãe in every room you walk into. Not to be tooooo sappy but you’ve truly changed my life, and I am so so grateful for you.”

The post featured video of the two visiting Rio de Janeiro’s Casa Amarela Providência, a cultural center for local children.

Shawn concluded the post by writing in Bruna’s native Portuguese, “Eu te amo muito muito muitoo,” which translates to “I love you so, so, so much.”

Shawn and Bruna reportedly began dating in December. Shawn previously dated Camila Cabello from 2019 to 2023.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was transported to a Miami area hospital this week, where he was said to be receiving medical attention after appearing to harm himself on a TikTok livestream video, law enforcement officials said Wednesday.

The update, which did not mention Hilton by name, comes after law enforcement in Miami responded to Hilton's home on Tuesday after receiving multiple calls claiming Hilton was "livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media," according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.

"The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention," the Sheriff's Office said Wednesday. "The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual's family."

Hilton's TikTok livestream on Tuesday allegedly appeared to show him harming himself with a knife, with a bloody torso and face.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said in a previous statement Tuesday that deputies spoke with his family members on scene and "tactically disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation."

"In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication," the Sheriff's Office said, adding this tactic can "reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public."

Hilton's representatives, Golden Artists Entertainment, released a statement Tuesday night, saying they were "aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client."

"At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez's health and well being, as well as the well being of his family," the statement added.

An online meme claiming that Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson "looks like a white Snoop Dogg" has been floating around since 2024, and on Tuesday, the two finally came together to see if the claim holds up in person.

At the premiere of the animated film PAW PATROL: The Dino Movie, Kevin and Snoop were seen meeting and embracing on the red carpet. Backstreet Boys recorded the song "Bottle Up" for the film's soundtrack, while Snoop voices a character named Dave. The caption read, "It finally happened… iykyk."

Back in 2001, the comparison was even more apt: Kevin had his hair in cornrows, which led his own bandmates to compare him to Snoop Dogg.

In the comments, *NSYNC's Lance Bass shared handclapping emojis, while one fan wrote, "Snoop looking like damn he really is my white twin lol." Another wrote, "Why are there two Snoops in this picture?" Yet another commented, "Kevin found his long-lost twin."

Baylee Littrell, son of Backstreet's Brian Littrell -- who is Kevin's first cousin once removed -- wrote, "I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life."

Of course, now fans are calling for a collab, with one writing, "They truly need a show or a podcast like Snoop and Martha [Stewart]."

They've been linked since late 2025, but now Role Model — the name that Tucker Pillsbury records under — has confirmed that he and Dakota Johnson are dating. However, that doesn't mean he was eager to put her on his latest album.

Speaking with NYLON magazine, Role Model talks about Johnson appearing on the album, Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, which is coming out Aug. 7. On the song "Love I You," the two have a spoken-word conversation in which Role Model says, "Hey, I think you're perfect." "You say that to everyone,” Johnson replies. “K, well, is it working?” he says. “Yeah, but don’t tell anyone,” she answers.

Role Model tells NYLON he always wanted a woman on the song, but didn't even think of his girlfriend as an option. "I had a lot of names to pick from for that, and then Dakota came to the studio one day, and [my guitarist and producer] was like, ‘Why don’t you do it?’” he says.

“I was like, ‘Stop! We’re not mixing work and relationships. She was like, ‘I’ll do it,’ and stood right up and got in the booth and knocked it out better than we could have imagined," he notes. "So I was like, OK, if she’s down — I mean, that’s an amazing cameo.”

But Role Model was not with Dakota when she attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding last month in New York City. He tells NYLON, "I couldn’t go. I was busy in the middle of an album rollout, but it looked amazing.”

The Voice's panel of coaches is star-studded, but now the contestant lineup will be as well.

NBC is launching The Voice: Celebrity, a new version of the show that will air in the spring of 2027. Joe Jonas will join the panel as a coach, along with Queen Latifah and country star Riley Green. Meanwhile, Keke Palmer will host, in place of The Voice's regular host, Carson Daly.

The twist is that all the contestants on the show will be actors, musicians, athletes, comedians and reality stars, as opposed to unknown musicians. Deadline was the first to report the news.

Joe's has already been a coach on The Voice Australia, and he appeared as a Battle Advisor several times on the U.S. show. And he's not even the first of the Jonas Brothers to appear on the franchise; Nick Jonas was a coach for seasons 18 and 20.

Maybe Billie Eilish's video for "What Was I Made For?" was an audition for her feature film debut acting role.

In that video, Billie was dressed in a '50s-style hairdo and outfit, and that's the style she's seen wearing in the first photos from the set of the movie The Bell Jar. As published by People, Billie is seen as Esther Greenwood, the young writer who is the main character of Sylvia Plath's 1963 novel.

Billie is seen in the photos dressed for the 1950s New York City setting, wearing a short-sleeved sweater, pleated skirt, and matching heels and handbag.

The movie is directed by Sarah Polley, and stars Carey Mulligan as Esther's mother and Heated Rivalry's Connor Storrie in a yet-to-be-announced role.

The Bell Jar is Billie's first acting role in a feature film; she made her acting debut proper in the 2023 Prime Video movie Swarm. But unlike many first-time actors, Billie has already co-directed a feature film of her own — Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live), which opened in May. Plus, she's already won two Oscars, both for best original song.
